Proper use of a non woven wound plaster ensures effective wound protection and prevents complications. First, clean the wound thoroughly with antiseptic or saline solution to remove dirt and bacteria, then pat dry gently with a sterile gauze. Choose a plaster size that fully covers the wound with a small margin around the edges. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive side, taking care not to touch the absorbent pad. Position the pad directly over the wound, then press the adhesive edges firmly onto clean, dry skin to secure. Avoid stretching the plaster excessively, as this may cause it to loosen or irritate skin. Replace the plaster daily or whenever it becomes wet, soiled, or loose. If the wound shows signs of infection (redness, swelling, oozing), remove the plaster and consult a healthcare provider. Dispose of used plasters in regular trash and wash hands thoroughly after handling.
