The Medelast® Tubular Arm Stocking (thumb spica stockinette) is made of 100% cotton or polyester tubular roll that helps prevent chafing and keep affected areas clean. The Thumb spica stockinette is made for use under casts, over dressings as the first layer applied during a medical cast application. This layer draws moisture away from the skin to help keep the skin cool, dry and odor-free. The cast padding will be rolled over top of the cast stockinette, followed by fiberglass or plaster casting tape.
