The Medelast cotton stockinette tubular bandage is made of 100% natural cotton yarn without any natural rubber latex, it is soft and skin friendly, and mainly used to retain wound dressings and provide a protective padding surface to the skin.
The cotton stockinette is seamlessly knit and can absorb perspiration to increase patient comfort. The stockinette tubular bandage is safe for sensitive skin, children and people with allergies or who are on medications which may affect the skin.
The cotton stockinette is also used as a protective surface of the skin while using Plaster of Paris or synthetic casts. Sometimes the tubular bandage is also used as a protective layer under compression bandages to protect the skin from rashes and drags.
